Award-winning short film, The Vest, available on DVD from Door To Door Films

Skye stars in a comic short film titled The Vest. She plays
Sarah, a creative third-grader who is teased at school for wearing a homemade
vest. Enrico Colantoni (Just Shoot Me) plays Sarah's father.
The late Kellie Waymire (Six Feet Under) plays Sarah's mother.
The Vest is a SAG Experimental Feature Film produced by
Paul Gutrecht, Amy Lippens, and Albert Hasson (Door
to Door Films). Paul Gutrecht wrote
and directed. It was filmed during September 2002 in Los Angeles. The
Vest was shown extensively on the film festival circuit during 2003 (see
below).

Film Festival in New York City on May 4 and 11. Skye attended both
screenings. She also performed in a staged reading of a new
screenplay, Glow Worms, where she met many entertainment industry
people including Robert DeNiro, the co-founder of the Tribeca Film Festival.

- At the Florida Film Festival
during March 7 to 16, The Vest won the Audience Award for Best
Short, over all eligible narrative, documentary and animated short films. The
Vest also received the Grand Jury Award for Best Narrative Short Film.
Because this festival is one of only 41 festivals around the world (including
Sundance and Cannes) that is accredited by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts
and Sciences, receiving the Grand Jury Award qualifies the short for
consideration by the Nominating Committee for the Academy Award for Best Live
Action Short for next year!
